An Act relative to retirement benefits for Edward Kazanjian.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to t
he contrary the Massachusetts Teachers' Retirement Board is hereby authorized and directed to allow Mr. Edward Kazanjian to purchase as creditable service the time he was employed at the Massachusetts Association of School Business Officials Cooperative Co
rporation,
March 1, 1983
through
December 31, 1998
; provided that no credit shall be allowed unless said Edward Kazanjian, has paid into the Annuity Savings Fund of the teachers' retirement system by the date of his retirement, in one sum or in installment
s, upon such terms and conditions as the board may prescribe, an amount equal to the deductions that would have been withheld had Mr. Edward Kazanjian continued in service, as determined by the board, together with buyback interest.
