An Act relative to cutting down, trimming or removing bushes and small trees.


 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              SECTION 1. Section 5 of chapter 87 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following sentence:--

Tree wardens and their deputies shall, without a hearing, allow electric companies and distribution companies, as defined in Section 1 of Chapter 164, to trim, cut down or remove trees in order to maintain the delivery of electric service.
