AN ACT AMENDING CHAPTER 534 OF THE ACTS OF 1973 RELATIVE TO THE OFFICE OF CHIEF OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE TOWN OF BROOKLINE .
Be it
enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1.
The first, second and third sentences in SECTION 5 in Chapter 534 of the Acts of 1973, are hereby deleted and
replaced with the following:
SECTION 5.
The board of selectmen shall appoint a chief of the fire department for a term of one
year,
unless a different term is otherwise determined in an employment contract established under the provisions of Section 108O
in Chapter 41 of the general laws.
Section 2.
This act shall take effect upon its passage.
