AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SICK LEAVE BANK FOR CASSANDRA MACKLAN, AN EMPLOYEE OF THE D EPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES. .

An Act Establishing A Sick Leave Bank For Cassandra Macklan , An Employee Of The Department Of Health And Human Services .
 

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of health and human services , therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
 

Notwithstanding any general or special law, or rule or regulation to the contrary, the department of health and human services shall establish a sick leave bank for Cassandra Macklan , an employee of MassHealth .     Any employee of said department may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation days to the s ick leave bank for use by Cassandra Macklan .     Whenever Cassandra Macklan terminates employment with said department or request to dissolve the sick leave bank, the balance of the sick leave time shall be transferred to the MassHealth paid leave bank.   Sick leave bank days shall not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the department .
