An Act establishing a health education program in the public schools.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 1D of chapter 69 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “English”, in line 6, the words:— health education.
SECTION 2.
Section 1 of chapter 71, as so appearing, is hereby amend
ed in the fifth sentence by inserting after the words “emotional development”, in line 19, the words:— mental health; and inserting at the end of that sentence, “and shall include current public health issues as identified by the department of public healt
h”.
