An Act relative to zoning.


 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              Section 3 of chapter 40A of the General laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “requirements” in line 45 the following:- provided further in any city or town where 5 per cent of the total town area falls into the category of charitable nonprofit uses such city or town may adopt zoning ordinances or by laws that regulate or restrict the use of land or structures for educational uses on land owned or leased by a nonprofit educational corporation.
