An Act establishing a sick leave bank for Vanessa Williams, an employee of the division of medical assistance.
Whereas

The
deferred operation for this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish forthwith
a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the division of medical assistance, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessar
y for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any special or general law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the division of medical assistance shall establish a sick leave bank for Vanessa Williams, an employee of the division of medical assistance.
Any employee of the department may voluntarily contribute one or more sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Vanessa Williams. Whenever Vanessa Williams terminates employment with the department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, the balance of the sick leave bank shall be transferred to the division of medical assistance sick leave bank.
Sick leave bank days may not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the department.
