An Act Authorizing the City of Methuen to repay the borrowing of certain monies for the satisfaction of a final judgment under the applicable provisions of Chapter 44 of the General Laws for a period of up to (20) years .

An Act Authorizing the City of Methuen to repay the borrowing of certain monies for the satisfaction of a final judgment under the applicable provisions of Chapter 44 of the General Laws for a period of up to (20) years .


 

              Be it enacted by the Senate a nd House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1.               Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 7(11) of Chapter 44 of the General Laws or any other general special law, rules, regulations, or ordinance to the contrary, the City of Methuen is herby authorized to repay a debt incurred by the City Council of the City of Methuen for payment in satisfaction of a final court judgment over and during the course of a period of twenty (20) years and upon such other terms as the Mayor and the City Treasurer determined at the time of such borrowing or may determine thereafter; and further, that

Section 2.               This act shall take effect upon its passage.
