This act shall take effect upon its passage., therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled
, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1.
The town of Hingham may be subject to the approval of the commission of revenue, designate a place on its municipal tax bills or motor vehicle excise tax bills, or mail with such tax bills a separate form whereby taxpayers of the town car voluntarily check off, donate and pledge an amount of money which shall increase the amount already due and which shall be paid over to the Hingham Veterans Council Assistance Fund for the support of Hingham Veterans and dependents in need in keeping with the purposes of the Hingham Veterans Council.
SECTION 2.
This act shall take effect upon its passage.
