The committee on Ways and Means to whom was referred the Bill relative to the purchase of flags in the commonwealth (House, No. 1157), reports recommending that the same ought to pass with an amendment substituting therefor the accompanying bill (House, No. 5081 ).

An Act relative to the purchase of flags in the commonwealth.


 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              Section 6 of chapter 2 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 7 to 10, inclusive, the words “; provided, however, that a flag shall be considered manufactured in the United States if a su bstantial majority of the principal components are assembled into the final product in an assembly plant in the United States”.
