An Act relative to group insurance benefits for certain public retirees.


 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              SECTION 1.   Section 10B of C hapter 32A of the G enera l Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended in line 17 by deleting the word “may” and inserting in place thereof the follo wing:-

“shall”.

              SECTION 2.    Section 10C of C hapter 32A of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended in line 17 by deleting the word “may” and inserting in place thereof the following:-

“shall”.

              SECTION 3 .   Section 18 of C hapter 32A of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended in line 18 by inserting at the end thereof the following words:-

“and any Medicare part B premium which said retirees and spouses are required to pay by the federal government”.
