An Act relative to certain benefits for surviving spouses while a surviving child serves in the armed forces.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by
the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1. Paragraph (b) of subdivision (2) of section 9 of Chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the
2006
Official Edition, is hereby amended in line 56 by inserting after the word “and” the words, “on a
ctive duty in the armed fo
rces of the United States or ”.
Section 2.
Paragraph (b) of subdivision (2) of section 9 of Chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the
2006
Official Edition, is hereby amended in line 62 by inserting after the word “and”
, the words “on active duty in the armed fo
rces of the United States or ”.
Section 3.
Paragraph (d) of subdivision (2) of section 9 of Chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the

Official Edition, is hereby amended in line 82 by inserting aft
er the word “and” the words “on active duty in the armed fo
rces of the United States or ”.
Section 4.
