An Act providing that the office of chief of police of the town of S
andwich shall be exempt from civil service law and rules.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Cour
t assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION
1
:
The office of the Chief of Police of the Town of Sandwich
shall be exempt from the provisions of Chapter Thirty-One of the Massachusetts General Laws and all rules adopted thereunder; provided, however, that the present incumbent of such office who is subject
to
said Chapter Thirty-One shall continue to be subje
ct to said chapter.
SECTION
2

This act shall take effect upon its passage.
