An Act r elative to p ayment of p roperty t axes in the t own of Carver.


 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.    Notwithstanding section 58 of chapter 59 of the General Laws, or any other law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the town of Carver may allow any taxpayer who paid at least 4 times the first quarterly tax bill plus 2 ½ percent of the prior year’s total taxes assessed by August 1 st   or within 30 days if the tax bill was mailed later than July 1 st , to receive the 3 percent discount on the amount paid, not to exceed the actual taxes assessed for the fiscal year.

SECTION 2.   This act shall take effect upon i ts passage.
