An Act changing the use of a certain parcel of land in the Town of Greenfield.
Whereas
, The deferred operation for this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is forthwith to make to authorize the division of capital asset management and maintenance to change the terms of the lease of a certain parcel of land to the town of Greenfield, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience., therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 55 of the acts of 1996 is hereby amended by striking out the third sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The parcel of land with the buildings and improvements thereon shall be leased for municipal purposes which shall include, but shall not be limited to, a youth center, consistent with any conditions determined by the commissioner of capital asset management and maintenance to be appropriate, which condition shall be included in the lease.
SECTION 2.
Said chapter 55 is hereby amended by striking out section 2 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-
Section 2.
The parcel of land, buildings or other improvements described in section 1 shall be used by the town of Greenfield for municipal purposes which shall include, but shall not be limited to, a youth center, and if the parcel of land, buildings or other improvements ceases to be used at any time for said purposes or if such land, buildings or improvements are used for any other purposes during the term
of the lease, the lease shall be terminated by notice to be given by the commissioner of capital asset management and maintenance.
