An Act to mandate CORI evaluations for foster parents
By Mr. Atsalis of Barnstable, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 392) of Demetrius J. Atsalis and Cleon H. Turner for legislation to require criminal offender record information checks of foster parents by the Department of Social Services. The Judiciary.
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, each time a child is placed in foster care by the department of children and families, the department shall conduct a C.O.R.I. investigation of the foster parents and provide the report to the district court in which the foster home is located within 30 days of the placement.
