An Act relative to employees of the Department of Correction and Sheriffs Departments
By Mr. O'Day of West Boylston, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 1632) of James J. O'Day and Raymond McGrath relative to placing employees of sheriff's offices into Group 4 of the contributory retirement system. Public Service.
Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 3 or Chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other special or General Law to the contrary, all public employees who are employed by the Commonwealth of Sheriffs’ Departments whose normal work location is a locked facility shall be classified in Group 4 for retirement purposes.
