The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
An Act relative to the safe placement of newborn infants.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 39 1/2 of Chapter 119 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 3 to 4, inclusive, the words "or manned fire station" and inserting in place thereof the following:- ", manned fire station or with an emergency responder at an agreed upon location following a 911 call".
SECTION 2. Section 39 1/2 of said Chapter is hereby amended by striking out, in line 6, the word "an" and inserting in place thereof the following:- "and".
SECTION 3. Section 39 1/2 of said Chapter is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 13 to 14, inclusive, and lines 16 to 17, inclusive, the words "hospital, police department or manned fire station" and inserting in place thereof the following:- "designated facility".
SECTION 4. Section 39 1/2 of said Chapter is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 17 to 18, inclusive, the words "or fire department" and inserting in place thereof the following:- ", fire department or emergency responder".
