An Act relative to the residency requirements of assistant treasurers and collectors.. Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to [Emergency Preamble Text] convenience. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1. The sixth and seventh sentences of section 39A of chapter 41 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the words “and a resident of the commonwealth”. SECTION 2. The sixth and seventh sentences of section 39C of said chapter 41 of the General Laws is hereby further amended by striking out the words “and a resident of the commonwealth”. SECTION 3. This act will take effect upon its passage. |
