An Act to prevent propane gas suppliers from shutting off fuel during the winter..
 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              SECTION. 1. Section 124H of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following:-

              No gas, propane gas or electric company shall between November fifteenth and March fifteenth shut off gas, propane gas or electric service to any residential customer who cannot pay an overdue charge because of financial hardship, when such gas, propane gas or electric service is used to provide heat or to operate the heating system of the customer’s unit or building.
