An Act ensuring the right to dry. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1. Chapter 184 of the general law is amended by adding the following new section:- “Section 36 Right to Dry. For the purposes of this section “Clothesline” means a rope, cord, wire, or similar device on which clothing is hung to dry. Notwithstanding any general law or the terms of any contract, deed, covenant, restriction, rule, bylaw, lease agreement, rental agreement to the contrary; a homeowner or tenant shall not be prohibited from the installation of a clothesline.” |
