AN ACT AMENDING CHAPTER 131 OF THE ACTS OF 1994 TO INCREASE BOARD OF SELECTMEN MEMBERSHIP IN THE TOWN OF SUDBURY FROM THREE TO FIVE.
 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              Section 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special laws of the Commonwealth to the contrary, Part III, Section 5(a) of Chapter 131 of the Acts of 1994, shall be amended by substituting the following:

              There shall be a board of selectmen composed of five members elected for terms of three years each.   At the next ensuing election held as part of the Annual Town Meeting after approval of the Special Act, three Selectmen shall be elected, one for two years, and two for three years, and thereafter electing their successors for three years.

              Section 2.  Said Act shall take effect upon its passage and without further submission to a town meeting.
