By Mr. Rodrigues, a petition (accompanied by bill, Senate, No. 373) of Michael J. Rodrigues for legislation relative to economic development in the Commonwealth.  Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture.

An Act relative to economic development in the Commonwealth   .
 

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to create and promote economic development in the Commonwealth, expand the property tax base, and preserve manufacturing jobs, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience., therefore, it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
                                           
 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              SECTION 1. Section 6 of said chapter 21I, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out subsections (B), (C), (E), (G), and (H), inclusive.

              SECTION 2. Subsection (J) of Section 6 of chapter 21I, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking the second and third paragraphs.

              SECTION 3. Subsection (B) of Section 9 of chapter 21I, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out in line two, the words “the institute and”.

              SECTION 4. Subsection (C) of section 9 of chapter 21I, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking in line 4, “the institute and”.

              SECTION 5. Section 9A of said chapter 21I, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out subsection (D).

              SECTION 6. Section 11 of said chapter 21I, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out subsections (B), (C), (D), (F), and (G), inclusive.

              SECTION 7.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
