An Act relative to the preservation of certain appellate rights. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1. Chapter 233 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following new section: Section 84. In a criminal proceeding, a written motion in limine shall be sufficient to preserve an objection for appellate purposes, regardless of whether the objection is orally renewed at trial, unless the trial judge specifically states that the issue must be raised again at trial in order to be considered on the record as it then stands. |
