An Act relative to criminal background checks for youth program volunteers. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1. Section 172, Chapter 6 of the Massachusetts General Laws, as so appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following new subsection: (31) Local law enforcement agencies may obtain criminal offender record information including sealed records for persons volunteering at an organization primarily engaged in providing activities or programs to children 18 years of age or less. |
