An Act to protect job applicants’ identity and privacy. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1. The General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, are amended by adding the following chapter:- 151G Pre-employment inquiries Section 1. No employer or potential employer shall ask a prospective employee for the prospective employee’s Social Security Number or driver’s license number unless such information is necessary to determine a bona fide occupational qualification of the potential employee. |
