The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
An Act providing for an exemption to the Uniform Procurement Act.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Subsection (b) of section 1 of chapter 30B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after clause (34) the following clause:
(35) municipalities operating or directly managing the public, educational, and/or governmental community television services for their community, as well as any contract, agreement, lease or purchase by a non profit corporation which has agreed with a municipality as an issuing authority, as defined in section 1 of chapter 166A, to provide services associated with public, educational, or governmental community television, provided, however, that a municipality may opt to seek or continue to seek public bids at its discretion.
