An Act to protect residential building lots. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: Section 6 of Chapter 40A of the General Laws shall be amended as follows: SECTION 1: By deleting paragraph three and inserting in its place the following: ”Except for lots zoned for single and two family residential family use, a zoning ordinance or by-law may define and regulate nonconforming uses and structures abandoned or not used for a period of two years or more. “ SECTION 2: By adding at the beginning of the first line of paragraph 4 the following words: “Notwithstanding the previous existence of any building or structure thereon,” |
