The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
An Act relative to eligibility for coverage.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, an individual who is employed in a social services program as defined in section 1 of chapter 118G shall be an “Eligible individual” as that term is defined in section 1 of chapter 176J and in section 1 of chapter 176Q regardless of whether or not the individual is seeking individual coverage to replace an employer-sponsored health plan for which the individual is eligible and which provides coverage that is at least actuarially equivalent to minimum creditable coverage. |
