An Act providing financial relief to long term care facilitiesrequired to obtain criminal offender record informationfor potential employees. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: Section 1. Section 172E of chapter 6 of the General Laws as most recently amended by section 25 of chapter 256 of the acts of 2010, is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following last sentence: A long term care facility seeking criminal offender record information shall only be charged one fee assessable under section 172A for any individual, notwithstanding that (a) the individual may have had more than one last name (for example maiden name and married name) or (b) more than one request for criminal offender record information is submitted by the long term care facility for each last name used by the individual. |
