The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
An Act relative to the purchase of nuclear energy.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Subsection (b) of section 1B of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as so appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word department, in line 46, the following:-
“provided however, that any purchase agreement that includes electricity supplied by nuclear energy generation facilities shall only include such facilities that have received federal certification as well as any applicable state certification from the state in which the facility is located”
