The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
An Act to reduce duplicative permitting in septic system upgrades.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2 of chapter 82A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following new paragraph:-
Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, no permit for the excavation on privately owned land shall be required for modifications to or maintenance of an existing on-site system regulated by Title 5 of the State Environmental Code.
