An Act relative to stolen animals. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: Chapter 112 of the General laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 58B the following section:- Section 58C. Any veterinarian who treats an animal in veterinary hospital or clinic shall scan sick animal for a microchip I.D. to identify the animal to detriment it is not stolen. If the animal is determined to have been stolen. Police shall be notified and the person in possession of the animal shall be charged with receiving stolen property. |
