An Act relative to improving health care quality and cost in the medical device industry.
 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              SECTION 1:  Section 1 of chapter 111N of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 65, the words “or the physician's employees or agents.”

              SECTION 2:  Section 2 of chapter 111N of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “setting” the following: “unless the provision of or payment for meals is the exercise of ordinary hospitality for an event that is primarily educational in nature.”

              SECTION 3:  Section 2 of chapter 111N of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 67-68, the words “if that expense is part of the vendor’s purchase contract for the device.”

              SECTION 4:  Section 6 of chapter 111N of the General Laws is hereby repealed.
