By Mr. Winslow of Norfolk, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2909) of Daniel B. Winslow relative to financial disclosures by certain public officials, employees and candidates for public office.  State Administration and Regulatory Oversight.

An Act to improve public confidence in the integrity of government.
 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 268B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 3 through 8, the definition in its entirety and inserting in place thereof the following definition:-
(a)              “amount”, a category of value, rather than an exact dollar figure, as follows: greater than one thousand dollars but not greater than one hundred thousand dollars; greater than one hundred thousand but not more than two hundred and fifty thousand dollars; greater than two hundred and fifty thousand dollars but not greater than five hundred thousand dollars;  greater than five hundred thousand dollars but not greater than one million dollars; greater than one million dollars.
SECTION 2.  Section 5 of chapter 268B of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following:-
(h) Statements of financial interest filed after 1990 shall be made available online by July 31, 2014.
