The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
An Act relative to restore funding for the police career pay program.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 108L of chapter 41 is hereby amended by inserting at the end of the first paragraph the following 2 sentences:— Any of the said regular full-time members hired after July 1st, 1976 shall be eligible for this program. Annual appropriated funding for this program shall not be below the amount appropriated in fiscal year 2008, or 50 per cent of the costs borne by the municipality contracted to provide funding of the program, whichever is greater. |
