An Act relative to net metering. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1. Section 138 of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “solar” in line 21 the following word:- , water, SECTION 2. Said section 138 of said chapter 164 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the words “solar net metering facility” in line 37 the following words:- hydropower net metering facility, SECTION 3. Said section 138 of said chapter 164 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the words “solar net metering facility” in line 55 the following words:- hydropower net metering facility, SECTION 4. Said section 138 of said chapter 164 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the words “solar net metering in line 60 the following words:- , hydropower net metering facility, SECTION 5. Said section 138 of said chapter 164 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the definition of “Customer” the following definition:- “Hydropower net metering facility”, a facility for the production of electrical energy that uses water to generate electricity and is interconnected to a distribution company. SECTION 6. Section 139 of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “wind” in line 9 the following word:- , hydropower, SECTION 7. Said section 139 of said chapter 164 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “wind” in line 11 the following word:- , hydropower, SECTION 8. Said section 139 of said chapter 164 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “conditions” in line 71 the following words:- , the capacity of a hydropower net metering facility shall be the nameplate rating, |
