The Commonwealth of Massachusetts
An Act relative to utility poles.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 34B of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “pole”, in line 9, the words:- ; provided, further that said distribution company or a telephone company shall not support a utility pole with another pole unless an emergency situation exists; and provided, further, that if another pole is used for support, such pole shall be removed not later than 14 days from the date of installation. |
