_______________ In the Year Two Thousand Eleven _______________ An Act establishing a sick leave bank for Mark E. Lopes, an employee of the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special, or rule or regulation to the contrary, the Bristol County Sheriff’s office shall establish a sick leave bank for Mark E. Lopes, an employee of the office. Any employee of said department may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for the use by Mark E. Lopes. Whenever Mark E. Lopes terminates employment with said department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, the balance of the sick leave time shall be transferred to the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office paid sick leave bank. Sick leave bank days shall not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office. |
