An Act establishing a sick leave bank for Emmy Diaz, an employee of the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to make to establish a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of revenue, therefore, it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, the department of revenue establish a sick leave bank for Emmy Diaz, an employee of the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. Any employee of a department within the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission and Statewide Employment Services (SES) may voluntarily contribute 1 or more of his sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Emmy Diaz. Whenever Emmy Diaz terminates employment with the commission or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, the balance of the sick leave time shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank. |
