An Act Creating the Melpet Farm Stable Operations and Improvement Fund for the Town of Dennis. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 53 of chapter 44 of the General Laws, or any other general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, there shall be a special fund in the town of Dennis to be known as the Melpet Farm Stable Operations and Improvement Fund. There shall be deposited into the fund, without further appropriation, revenue collected by the town of Dennis from the rental of the Melpet Farm Stable. The Fund shall be used exclusively for operations and improvements to said Stable. Without further appropriation,The Dennis Board of Selectman shall be authorized to expend, no more than twenty-five percent of the monies in said Fund each Fiscal Year. SECTION 2. The Melpet Farm Stable Operations and Improvement Fund shall be maintained by the town treasurer as a separate account, subject to any applicable provisions of chapter 44 of the General Laws, and any interest accrued shall be credited to and become part of the fund. |
