Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION
1.
Notwithstanding chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, Paul L.
Trufant
, chief of the fire department of the Town of Medway may continue in that position until June 30, 2012, notwithstanding the fact that he has attained the maximum age for that position, provided that he is physically and mentally capable of performing the duties of his office.
