An Act establishing a sick l eave bank for Meridyth L. Reith an employee of the department of environmental protection.

An Act establishing a sick leave bank for Meridyth L. Reith an employee of the department of environmental protection.


 

Whereas , The deferred operation for this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is forthwith to make Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of environmental protection, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience., therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preser vation of the public convenience.

 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the department of environmental protection shall establish a sick leave bank for Meridyth L. Reith an employee of the department.  Any employee of the department and any employee of the state fire marshal may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, persona. Or vacation days to the sick leave bank if or use by Meridyth L. Reith in the care of her daughter Charlize .  Whenever Meridyth L. Reith terminates employment with the department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, any remaining time in the sick leave bank shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank.  Sick leave bank days may not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability the necessitated the establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the department.
