By Mr. Eldridge, petition (accompanied by bill, Senate, No. 1016) of Donato and Eldridge for legislation to make technical changes for the municipal relief act [Joint Committee on Municipalities and Regional Government].

An Act relative to technical changes for the municipal relief act.
 

              Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

              SECTION 1.The second paragraph of section 4A of chapter 40 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following sentence:  "A decision to enter into an agreement under this section shall be solely subject to the approval of, in a city, the city council with the approval of the mayor, in a town, by the board of selectmen, and, in a district, by the prudential committee."

              SECTION 2. Paragraph (B) of subsection (2) of section 44A of chapter 149 of the General Laws, as so appearing,  is hereby amended by striking out, in the fourth sentence, the words "system or" and inserting in place thereof the following words:- system and.
