An Act Establishing Fragile X Awareness Day.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 6 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after Section 15KKKKK, the following section:
The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart July 22 as Fragile X Awareness Day, in recognition of the successes achieved in diagnosis and treatment through spreading awareness in the Fragile X community and beyond, and shall recommend that the day be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.
