An Act providing for a long term care Ombudsman in Hospitals.. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: SECTION 1. Section 27 of chapter 19A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the definition of “long term care facility” the following definition:— “Hospital” an institution as defined in section 52 of chapter 111. SECTION 2. Section 28 of said chapter 19A, as appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “facilities” in lines3, 4 and 5 the words:—: or hospital, in each instance. SECTION 3. Section 29 of said chapter 19A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “facility” in line 8 the words:—- or hospital. SECTION 4. Section 30 of said chapter 19A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after word “facilities” in line 3 the words:— or hospital. SECTION 5. Section 31 of said chapter 19A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “facility” in lines 12, 15, 16 and 28, the words:—or hospital, in each instance. SECTION 6. Section 32 of said chapter 19A, as so appearing,is hereby amended by inserting after the word: “facilities” in lines 8, 9 and 19 the words:—or hospitals, in each instance. SECTION 7. Section 33 of said chapter 19A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “facilities” in lines 12, 19, 22 and 26 the words:— or hospitals, in each instance. SECTION 8. Said section 33 of said chapter 19A, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting after the word “facilities” in line 15 the words:— or hospitals. SECTION 9. Section 35 of said chapter 19A, as so appearing,is hereby amended by inserting after the word: “facilities” in line 7 the words:— or hospitals. |
