Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Paragraph 5 of subsection B of section 2 of chapter 167E of the General Laws, as appearing in section 9 of chapter 155 of the acts of 1982, is hereby amended by striking out the last sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- No loan of this class shall be made or acquired for a sum in excess of one and one-quarter per cent of the deposits of such corporation or one hundred thousand dollars, whichever is the greater.
