CHAPTER 19 AN ACT FURTHER REGULATING THE CONDUCT OF CERTAIN GAMES CONDUCTED AT ELDERLY HOUSING PROJECTS.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to further regulate the conduct of certain games conducted at elderly housing projects, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.


The thirteenth paragraph of section 38 of chapter 10 of the General Laws, inserted by chapter 619 of the acts of 1983, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:- The tax imposed by section thirty-nine shall not apply to games operated or conducted under the provisions of this paragraph.
