Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 90C of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out the definition of "Audit sheet", as amended by section 1 of chapter 692 of the acts of 1965, and inserting in place thereof the following definition:-
"Audit sheet", a sheet of paper which shall contain the consecutive numbers assigned to citations in the citation book in such form as the registrar shall approve, and which shall upon return to the registrar, shall include but not be limited to the following information: a list of numbered citations therein with the name of the court to which the complaint was issued or an acknowledgement that the citation was spoiled, mutilated or otherwise voided by an agent of the police department or organization.
SECTION 2. Said section 1 of said chapter 90C is hereby further amended by striking out the definition of "Citation book", as appearing in section 2 of chapter 789 of the acts of 1962, and inserting in place thereof the following definition:-
"Citation book", not less than twenty citations, stapled or bound together in book form. Each such book shall be consecutively numbered.
SECTION 3. Section 2 of said chapter 90C is hereby amended by striking out the sixth paragraph, as appearing in section 2 of chapter 692 of the acts of 1965, and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:-
If a citation is spoiled, mutilated or voided, it shall be duly accounted for upon the audit sheet for the citation book from which said citation had been removed.
