Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, all monies appropriated under the provisions of sub-item 6 of item 10 of section one of chapter eight hundred and fifty-five of the acts of nineteen hundred and sixty-nine, sub-item 6 of item 10 of section one of chapter seven hundred and forty-eight of the acts of nineteen hundred and seventy, and sub-item 6 of item 10 of section one of chapter six hundred and thirty-six of the acts of nineteen hundred and seventy-one for the purpose of relocating and improving the Route 129 bridge, so-called, located in the town of Wilmington, which have not been expended on the effective date of this act, may be expended by Middlesex County, after approval by the Middlesex County Advisory Board, for the installation of traffic control devices, including the costs of preparing plans and specifications therefor, at the intersection of state highway Route 129 and state highway Route 38 in said town and for the improvement, repairs and renovations to streets and ways in the vicinity of said intersection.
